Nefertiti Lift (Neck & Jawline)
A crisp jawline depends on balanced muscle pull. The Nefertiti lift uses precise botulinum toxin injections to relax the platysma (neck depressor) and selective jawline depressors, reducing downward tension so natural elevator muscles can refine the cervico–mental angle. The result is a calmer jawline and softer neck bands—without surgery.
What the Nefertiti lift can (and can’t) do
Helps with:
- Vertical platysmal bands and fine neck lines
- Jawline “pull-down” that blunts contour
- Subtle “lifted” look along the mandibular border
- Early lower-face softening when skin is otherwise good
Doesn’t do:
- Remove fat or tighten significant skin laxity (consider Facelift & Neck Lift or skin-tightening strategies)
- Correct a heavy double chin on its own (see Submental contouring)
Who is a good candidate?
- Early neck bands or jawline blurring with good skin quality
- Desire for non-surgical refinement and minimal downtime
- Realistic expectations: subtle softening, not a surgical lift
Not treated during pregnancy/breastfeeding, with active infection at injection sites, certain neuromuscular disorders, or if your goals require structural surgery—we’ll guide you to the right option.
My planning framework: Neck–Jaw Vector Map™
I assess platysma activity, depressor vs elevator balance (DAO/DLI vs zygomatic elevators), skin quality, and the cervico–mental angle. This mapping keeps doses conservative and protects smile dynamics and swallowing comfort.
Treatment areas & technique
- Platysma bands: micro-aliquots along visible cords and lateral fans
- Mandibular border: light dosing to reduce downward drag
- Adjuncts (case-dependent): tiny units to DAO/mentalis if corners pull down
Anaesthesia: none or topical.
Time in clinic: ~20 minutes.
Back to routine: immediately.
Aftercare & timeline
- Avoid rubbing, intense exercise, sauna/steam for 24 hours
- Sleep slightly head-elevated first night
Onset: ~3–5 days • Peak: 10–14 days • Duration: typically 3–4 months (sometimes up to 5). We schedule light maintenance to keep results consistent and natural.
Safety & possible effects
Common and mild: transient redness, tiny bruises, neck tightness for a few days.
Less common: smile asymmetry (if spread to DAO/DLI), swallowing discomfort, voice fatigue—mitigated by conservative dosing and precise planes. You’ll receive clear consent and aftercare.
Smart combinations (when useful)
for width from muscle rather than skin/fat
Submental contouring
if fullness under the chin blunts the angle
Collagen Stimulators / Skin Boosters / Peels for texture and glow
when laxity is the primary driver
FAQs
Will it make my neck feel weak?
Temporary lightness or tightness is common; functional weakness is uncommon with careful mapping and dosing.
How “lifted” will I look?
Expect refinement, not a surgical lift—cleaner jawline and softer bands at rest and on animation.
Can I combine it with jawline filler?
Yes, when structure needs support. We decide sequencing so results read natural.
How often will I need it?
Most refresh every 3–4 months; intervals may lengthen slightly as patterns stabilise.
