Liquid Rhinoplasty

Liquid rhinoplasty refines the nose without surgery using precise hyaluronic-acid (HA) injections. With careful mapping and conservative dosing, small adjustments can smooth a bump, lift the radix, support the tip, and create a calmer profile—while keeping your identity intact. Results are immediate, reversible, and designed to harmonise the nose–lips–chin relationship rather than change who you are.

What it can (and cannot) do

Can help with:

  • Camouflaging a small dorsal hump or step
  • Subtle bridge refinement or radix lift
  • Gentle tip support for a crisper profile
  • Minor asymmetry or post-trauma irregularities
  • Previewing proportions before considering surgery
  • Improve breathing in certain specific cases

Cannot do:

  • Reduce nose size or narrow nasal bones
  • Replace structural rhinoplasty when large reductions are needed

Candidate checklist

You may be a good candidate if you:

  • Seek subtle contour refinement with minimal downtime
  • Understand that HA adds volume (it does not shrink structures)
  • Do not have active infection, pregnancy/breastfeeding, known HA allergy, or previous permanent nasal filler in the planned area

Technique & safety (how I do it)

  • Hyaluronic acid only (reversible; no permanent fillers)
  • Micro-aliquots placed in safe planes using needle and/or micro-cannula
  • Conservative shaping with manual moulding; symmetry checks in multiple lights
  • Vascular-safety protocol in place; hyaluronidase available if needed

Anaesthesia: topical anaesthetic and cooled packs; most patients rate discomfort as mild.

Setting: in-clinic procedure under sterile conditions.

The appointment, step by step

  • Photography & mapping → plan the exact points and depth
  • Cleansing & numbing → antisepsis + topical anaesthetic
  • Micro-injections → slow, layered placement
  • Shaping & checks → refine in mirror/profile; post-care explained

Time in clinic: typically 30 minutes.

Back to routine: often same day; minor swelling/bruising can last 24–48 h.

Aftercare & longevity

  • Avoid heavy pressure (tight glasses, nose massage) for the first days
  • Skip intense exercise/sauna for 24–48 h
  • Minor asymmetry or swelling typically settles as HA integrates

Duration: commonly 18 months (varies by product, area, metabolism).

Maintenance: light touch-ups keep results consistent and natural.

Combining treatments (when useful)

For some profiles, modest chin projection (filler or genioplasty/implant) improves balance more than adding volume to the nose. We discuss these options if they serve your proportions; the goal is harmony, not maximising any single feature.

Risks & transparency

As with any injectable, side effects may include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, temporary asymmetry or small nodules. Rare but serious vascular events are mitigated by technique, conservative dosing, anatomical expertise and immediate access to hyaluronidase. You’ll receive clear consent and safety guidance before treatment.

FAQs

Will my nose look bigger with filler?

Not if planned correctly. Small, strategic HA placement can flatten a bump or lift shadows, making the nose read smaller to the eye even though we added volume.

Immediately. Expect fine settling over a few days as swelling subsides.

No. It is a cosmetic procedure. Breathing issues require ENT evaluation (septum, valves, turbinates).

Yes. HA can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if medically indicated.

Most patients refresh every 12–18 months; some prefer lighter, more frequent touch-ups.

What to expect from your first consultation

  • Duration – Around 45 minutes, in person or by secure video for international patients.
  • Assessment – Standardised photos (and 3D imaging when useful) to analyse your face from different angles.
  • Discussion – Clear conversation about your goals, what bothers you, and any anatomical or medical constraints.
  • Plan – A step-by-step treatment proposal (often combining surgical and non-surgical options) with recovery times and key milestones.
  • No pressure – You leave with a clear roadmap and all your questions answered, without any obligation to book surgery that day.
