Mesobotox

Mesobotox (also called micro-Botox or intradermal Botox) uses ultra-dilute, micro-dosed botulinum toxin placed within the skin, not the muscle. It refines pores, sebum, shine, micro-lines and skin texture, creating a soft-focus glow—while preserving natural facial movement.

What Mesobotox can (and can’t) do

Can help with:

  • Visible pores and oily T-zone / mid-face shine
  • Fine micro-lines on cheeks, across the nose, and peri-oral skin
  • Subtle smoothing of skin texture and light reflection (“glass skin” effect)

Cannot replace:

  • Classic anti-wrinkle Botox for expression lines (muscle-driven)
  • Volume restoration (see Dermal Fillers)
  • Significant laxity (see Collagen Stimulators or Facelift & Neck Lift)
  • Treatment of active inflammatory acne—this must be stabilised first

Mesobotox vs Anti-Wrinkle Botox

  • Mesobotox: intradermal micro-doses for pores/shine/texture; movement preserved.
  • Anti-Wrinkle Botox: intramuscular dosing for expression lines (glabella, forehead, crow’s feet).

Often combined—for example, Anti-Wrinkle to relax frown lines + Mesobotox to refine cheek texture.

Candidacy & safety

Good candidates want less shine, smaller-looking pores, and finer texture without freezing expression.

We defer treatment if pregnant/breastfeeding, during active skin infection, or with certain neuromuscular conditions.

Possible effects: transient redness/blebs, pinpoint bruises, dryness/tightness for 24–48 h. Rarely, diffusion can soften nearby muscle (temporary). Precise intradermal placement and conservative dosing minimise risks.

Technique (what to expect)

  • Ultra-dilute micro-aliquots placed intradermally (micro-papules) using fine needles or a meso-stamping technique
  • Grid mapping across targeted areas
  • Conservative first session, then adjust at review for symmetry and glow

Anaesthesia: none or topical.

Time in clinic: ~30 minutes.

Back to routine: immediately; tiny papules settle within 12–24 h.

Aftercare & timeline

  • Avoid rubbing, sauna/steam, intense exercise for 24 hours
  • Keep skin clean; delay facials/laser until advised
  • SPF 50+ daily; gentle barrier care if you’re peel-naïve

Onset: 3–5 daysPeak: 10–14 daysTypical duration: 2–3 months

We schedule light maintenance to keep skin refinement consistent; intervals may stretch with combined skincare.

Smart combinations (case-by-case)

  • Skin Boosters for hydration and light bounce (non-volumising HA)
  • Polynucleotides to support repair and elasticity in delicate zones
  • Collagen Stimulators when firmness—not oil—is the main concern
  • Dermal Fillers for structural volume where shadows are anatomy-driven

FAQs

Will Mesobotox freeze my face?

No. It targets the skin, not the muscle. Expressions remain natural.

Selected micro-dosing may help in the periorbital skin; not suitable for everyone. We assess laxity/edema first.

Most patients love the result after one session; best maintenance is every 2–3 months, often combined with boosters.

Usually after a few hours once papules settle; keep application gentle the first day.

It can reduce oil/shine and the look of pores; active inflammatory acne needs medical management in parallel.

What to expect from your first consultation

  • Duration – Around 45 minutes, in person or by secure video for international patients.

  • Discussion – Clear conversation about your goals, what bothers you, and any anatomical or medical constraints.
  • Plan – A step-by-step treatment proposal (often combining surgical and non-surgical options) with recovery times and key milestones.
  • No pressure – You leave with a clear roadmap and all your questions answered, without any obligation to book surgery that day.
